Make a Furoshiki Purse Using Bamboo Handles
Wrappr has a wide selection of artwork that make for the most beautiful purses. This Furoshiki purse would be great for a summer day, going to the beach or bringing to a farmers market!
First, lie your Furoshiki face down on a flat surface.
Align your first ring with the vertical center of your furoshiki and an inch south of the horizontal center.
Grab the left corner closest to your bamboo handle...
bring it through the bamboo handle and loop it around once.
Grab the right corner closest to the bamboo handle...
put it through the bamboo handle and then loop it around once.
Tie a double knot with two of your furoshiki corners! This will secure them to the bamboo handle.
Now it's time to work with your second handle! Place it in the vertical center of your furoshiki and move it an inch north of the horizontal center.
Take the right corner closest to your second handle...
bring it through the handle and loop it around once!
Repeat the same steps with the right side.
Tie a double knot with the left and right corners to secure the furoshiki to the bamboo handle.
And there you have it! A furoshiki purse, all ready to be worn and packed with all your essentials!
The Furoshiki featured in this post is from the Escapism collection, it is called Cleanse, it is a Large organic cotton furoshiki. It was beautifully designed by Ottawa based Artist LzySunday.
