From the Sharing a Story Collection, this small cotton furoshiki wrap featuring original artwork by Indigenous artist Half Moon Woman - Pat Bruderer is perfect for wrapping gifts around the size of a tissue box.

Dimensions are 46.5 cm. x 46.5 cm. square or 18 x 18 inches square.

This piece by Half Moon Woman - Pat Bruderer is called 'Sharing a Story' was originally created as a birch bark biting, a very old form of Indigenous art form where the artist uses their teeth to bite a design into a single layer of birch bark. The tradition of passing stories from one generation to the next on life, values, creation, and the natural world runs deep through Indigenous culture, and this piece represents this tradition that continues today. During colonization, many languages and stories were lost completely, as so many were never written down. This piece reminds us of how sacred languages can be as when one goes extinct, we lose so much more than just words
