Waldorf Astoria

Waldorf Astoria

As part of a special custom project, we had the opportunity to transform one of the hotel’s most distinctive architectural details—their iconic chandelier ceilings—into a wearable work of art.

Working from photographs of the ceilings, we created a custom-printed mulberry silk pocket square, produced to a unique size specifically for the project. The result was a refined, tactile piece that brings the character of the Waldorf Astoria’s interiors beyond the walls of the hotel.

The chandelier ceilings became the inspiration for the print, capturing the intricate details, light, symmetry and sense of grandeur found throughout the space. Translating these architectural photographs onto silk created an unexpected connection between place and object: a piece of the hotel that could be carried, worn and gifted.

The custom dimensions allowed us to move beyond a traditional pocket square format and create something entirely specific to the project. Printed on luxurious mulberry silk, the imagery takes on a soft, luminous quality that complements the richness of the original architecture.

Rather than creating a conventional branded souvenir, this pocket square celebrates the Waldorf Astoria itself—its spaces, its history and its visual identity. The result is a keepsake that feels personal and collectible, while still being unmistakably connected to the hotel.

It’s also a wonderful example of what’s possible through custom textile printing. Photography, artwork, architecture and brand identity can all be translated into fabric to create something completely one-of-a-kind.

Whether it’s a custom furoshiki created for a brand, an artist collaboration, or a bespoke silk accessory inspired by a landmark space, we love finding ways to transform visual ideas into beautiful, tangible objects.

For Waldorf Astoria, a chandelier ceiling became more than an architectural detail. It became something you could hold, wear and remember.
