Make a Yoga Mat Bag
Wrappr has got you covered with two step-by-step tutorials on how you can use your furoshiki to wrap a yoga mat.
Method #1 :
The wrap featured above is Plum Adventures from The Forest Collection by Artist Vivi Maidanik
To start, lie your Wrappr print side down on a flat surface and lie your rolled up yoga mat diagonally across the centre of the Wrappr.
Grab the two corners of the Wrappr on each side of the yoga mat and lift them overtop
Criss-cross the corners, pulling them close so that your Wrappr is tight around your yoga mat.
Continue to criss-cross the corners
and then pull each corner towards the end of the yoga mat
Tie one of these corners in a double knot with the remaining slack at the end of the yoga mat
Then turn your yoga mat around and repeat on the opposite side.
And you're done!
Use either knot to act as your handle to carry your yoga mat
Or throw over your shoulder
Method #2 :
The wrap featured above is a Large Organic Furoshiki called Wanderlust from the Wander Collection by Artist Sophia Choi.
To start, lie your furoshiki wrap print side down on a flat surface and lie your rolled up yoga mat diagonally across the centre of your furoshiki
Next, grab the two corners that are parallel to the width of your yoga mat and lift them overtop of your mat.
Now tie those two corners of your furoshiki together, securing your yoga mat in place.
Now, make a handle for your yoga mat carrier by using the access fabric from those two corners. In order to do this, you will have to double knot the furoshiki at the tip of the fabric, creating a loop that is big enough room to slip your shoulder or your hand in.
Tuck the access fabric on the sides of your mat, you can create a knot with this fabric to secure it even further if you'd like.
And voilà, you're all ready to head out to your yoga practice in style!
